May 05, 2020  Microsoft has released a new version of its Outlook app for iPhone and iPad that includes a new feature allowing users to remove repetitive multi-reply email threads from their inbox. This will open a UserVoice site dedicated to the new Outlook for Mac. How to switch back. At any time, you can switch back by turning off the New Outlook switch. Before switching back, you'll have the opportunity to provide feedback on the experience and to create an in-app reminder for when additional features become available.

Outlook compatibility with Microsoft 365 and your on-premises environment depends on the system requirements for your deployment:

• Microsoft 365 works with any version of Outlook that is in mainstream support, which includes the latest version of Outlook 2016. For previous versions of Outlook, only those that have extended support may continue to work with Microsoft 365, although with reduced functionality. • For Exchange on-premises deployments, follow the system requirements for your version of Outlook:

Click-to-Run installations of Office

The following updates apply only to Office clients that are installed by using a .msi file. They do not apply to click-to-run installations of Office. By default, click-to-run installations are automatically updated.

To determine whether you are using a Click-to-run version of Office, click the File tab in Outlook, and then click Office Account. If you see Office Updates under Product Information, as shown in the following figure, you are using a click-to-run installation of Office.

To see the latest version information for click-to-run installations, click Update Options, and then click View Updates.
