To use Citrix, your Kerberos password cannot be more than three years old. If your password exceeds this age limit, you need to change your Kerberos password

Uninstall previous Citrix versions

  1. Navigate to Control Panel >> Programs and Features
  2. Look for Citrix XenApp plugin and/or Citrix ICA client. For each, highlight, and then click Uninstall.
  3. Locate and delete the following folder C:Users[username]AppDataLocalCitrix

Install Citrix Receiver Client for Windows

  1. Download the Citrix Receiver client for Windows.
  2. When prompted, choose to Save the installer.
  3. On your Desktop or other download location, or in the browser Downloads window, double-click to launch the Citrix Receiver installer.
    Note:
    The message may vary depending on the web browser you're using.

    2. FireFox
    3. Chrome
  4. Click Install.
    Once installed, continue with 'Using Citrix to access applications'.
  1. Nov 22, 2018  When she clicks the app, the spinning wheel appears but the launch file never downloads and receiver never launches so the app doesn't load. I've cleared her cache, browser history, etc. I don't see any errors on Storefront or the DDC. I deleted her profile also with no change. If she accesses the app directly from the Receiver client, it launches.

Logout of the Citrix Receiver app on your device and log back in; If you still see this behavior, delete the account you created for apps.ufl.edu in the Citrix Receiver and create a new account; If you still see this behavior, uninstall the Citrix Receiver and download it again from your device’s app store.

Using Citrix to access applications

  1. Navigate in your web browser, with certificates, to http://citrixapps.mit.edu.
    With the Citrix Receiver client successfully installed, you should see the Citrix XenApp logon prompt.
  2. Enter your Kerberos username (portion of your MIT email address before the @mit.edu).
  3. Enter your Kerberos password (password used to check your MIT email).
    Result: Applications available from the MIT Citrix servers are displayed.
  4. Click the icon for your selected application.
